NEW SCOTLAND — William L. Flansburg, a carpenter and lifelong Voorheesville resident, died on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Bethlehem. He was 88.

Mr. Flansburg was born on May 23, 1927, to Leroy and Gladys Flansburg in Albany, and served in the United States Navy during World War II.

CLARKSVILLE — Juliette Salisbury, known to her friends as “Julie,” was a sociable woman with a great sense of humor. She died on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at her home with her family near her side. She was 87.

“She enjoyed her family, and they enjoyed her,” said her daughter, Rose Pritchard. “She had a great sense of humor.”

“It’s all in how you style it,” said Nanette Blake, one of two Voorheesville women bringing a large-scale, family-friendly belly-dance show to Albany Saturday night.

Town employees will see 1-percent raises if the board approves the proposed budget.
