Last Saturday, August 20, the second leg of the Hilltown Triple Crown took place in Voorheesville.

Powerful legs: Erin Murphy, 36, of Albany was the first female finisher in the Voorheesville 5K, the second leg of the Hilltown Triple Crown, last Saturday in Voorheesville. She finished far ahead of other females with a time of 21:17.

And they’re off: Eighty-eight runners dash off the starting line in the Voorheesville 5K at Clayton A. Bouton High School last Saturday. Last year’s winner, Evan Ensslin, front right (bib 2778), won the 5K with a time of 17:02. Next to him (wearing bib 2765 on his shorts) is Noah Valvo who won the first leg of the Triple Crown, the Fox Creek 5K in Berne. The two were neck and neck all the way with Valvo finishing 39 seconds behind Ensslin.
