NEW SCOTLAND — Erin Mchugh, 39, of Feura Bush, was arrested for first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, on Feb. 20.

NEW SCOTLAND — Christine E. Grady, 32, of New Scotland, was arrested by State Police on Feb. 24 for felony driving while intoxicated.

NEW SCOTLAND — “Riot in Greenbush — the Anti-Rent War Renewed” is the name of the program that Jill Knapp will present at the New Scotland Historical Association meeting on Sunday, March 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Wyman Osterhout Community Center, off of Route 85 in New Salem.

The new executive director of the Tech Valley Center of Gravity feels she has come full circle, using her years of experience to let innovation proceed.

VOORHEESVILLE —  George Ward, a self-employed contractor who liked to hunt and fish, died at his Voorheesville home on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, after a long illness. He was 87.

He was the son of the late Lewis and Hattie (née Robbins) Ward. He was self- employed for over 30 years in the siding and window business.
