BERNE — Incumbent Helen Lounsbury has been on the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School Board for eight years, and is retired from a 35-year career as a teacher in the district.

BERNE — The Hilltown Homefront Patriots are holding another Tea Party event, on Saturday, May 8, focusing on government finances.

WESTERLO — Absentee ballots are off the table in the special election on the purchase of the old Westerlo School, and other steps are being taken as voting day approaches.

RENSSELAERVILLE — The town board will discuss the proposed $365,000 highway contract for 2010, along with the rest of this month’s highway-department report, at a special meeting on April 22.
