RENSSELAERVILLE — A Warrensburg man is in jail after being arrested for stealing from his father’s Rensselaerville home this past weekend.

Brian Rarick, 25, of 240 River Street in Warrensburg, N.Y., was arrested Sunday, Feb. 7, for burglarizing his father’s home on Albany Hill Road in Rensselaerville, stealing a laptop computer, a Nintendo Wii, an Xbox 360, 40 videogames, and 70 DVDs, according to Chief Deputy Matthew Campbell of the Albany County Sheriff’s Department.

Rarick was charged with second-degree burglary, a Class C felony; third-degree grand larceny, a Class D felony; and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor, according to a press release from the department.

The police recovered all of the stolen possessions, said Campbell. He was unsure of the time of the burglary and the resulting arrest.

Rarick was arraigned at the Rensselaerville Town Court by Judge Timothy Miller, and remanded to Albany County’s jail with bail set at $20,000.
