Traditional rivals team up to get back in the game

Timothy Mundell is celebrating his one year anniversary as superintendent of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School District and feeling good about the future.

WESTERLO — An accomplished and much respected scholar of international repute and a long-time professor of English at Siena College, Margaret Patterson Hannay was an active practitioner of her Christian faith. She died on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, after a four-year struggle with brain cancer. She was 71.

Saturday, Aug. 20, will be a red-letter day for a young woman named Amber and a 11-year old mixed-breed dog named Ariel. A triumphant day really.

Maryanne Overbaugh is the wife Mark Overbaugh, the town’s building inspector and code enforcement officer.
