R’ville Stage Creations artistic director and founding board member Tara McCormick-Hostash told The Enterprise this week that she wanted the group to offer a space for people who might otherwise be uncomfortable with theater “because it’s the spot I wished I had” as a youth in Rensselaerville.

ALBANY COUNTY — On May 18, musician Wally Jones will perform at the Gallupville Methodist Church, where decades ago he played “my first-ever note in front of other people,” he told The Enterprise this week.

KNOX — “Louis Schultz was born in Niskayuna on March 24, 1966, to a tight-knit Colonie farming family in the plant-growing business,” his family wrote in a tribute. “Lou loved heights.

WESTERLO — Adam C. Marrone died “suddenly and too soon” on Friday, April 12, 2024, his family wrote in a tribute, adding that he was “59 years young.”

Born on June 21, 1964 in Catskill, New York, he was the son of the late Andrew and Anita (née Reno) Marrone Sr.

Nearly two years after voters authorized Berne-Knox-Westerlo to purchase 1772 Helderberg Trail, the district is close to satisfying state inspection requirements, at which point it will begin the quick relocation of its business office.
