Thacher State Park will host a Fall Festival 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. New Thacher Visitor Center. Participants can take a scenic hayride, see live wildlife, try their hand at archery, and hear live music by Oobleck, Nite Train, and the Knox Traditional Strings. Children’s activities include crafts, face painting, a climbing wall, and old-fashioned toys and games.

Fall Festival Dinner Dance. A fundraising dinner-dance to provide assistance to our local disabled veterans on Friday, September 22, 2017 at The Olde Tater Barn in Central Bridge. Proceeds will be donated to The Patriot Highlander Challenge in Cobleskill, which identifies and assists veterans in need of support. Music and comedy sure to please will be provided by “ODY-The Entertainer.” Free door prizes donated by local merchants. Cash Bar at 6 p.m. Dinner at 7 p.m. Adults $25. Children under 12, half price.
