125th year of the Altamont Fair. August 15-20, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Altamont Fairgrounds, 129 Grand Street, Altamont, NY 12009. This family-fun tradition celebrates its 125th year with midway rides for all ages, a circus, racing pigs, live music, livestock shows, agricultural exhibits and demonstrations, hypnotism shows, a petting zoo, tiger shows, exotic reptile presentations, chainsaw carving demonstrations, lumberjack show, contests, a vast variety of fair food and more. Pay-one-price (admission, parking entertainment, rides) is $15 Tuesday - Wednesday and $17 Thursday - Sunday.
Clarksville Heritage Day & Car Show. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free Admission. Clarksville Community Church, Rte 443 Clarksville. Crafters, artistans, and breakfast and lunch put on by the Clarksville Community Church as a fund raiser.
