Five Rivers Outdoor Day. 56 Game Farm Road, Delmar. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event marks DEC's first Outdoor Day, where visitors will have the opportunity to try outdoor activities first-hand, such as hiking, bird watching, and fishing.

The Albany Amateur Radio Association will be demonstrating Emergency Communications from 2 p.m. on Saturday through Sunday, noon. Hales Cave location at Thacher Park.

Guilderland Town Band will perform at Guilderland Performing Arts Center at Tawasentha Park, as part of the “Jammin’ at GPAC” Summer Series. 7:30 p.m.

The 9th year of the Voorheesville Farmer’s Market begins June 21 from 3:30 - 6:30 PM until October 4.  We are located in the upper parking lot of the First United Methodist Church Voorheesville at 68 Maple Ave.  There’s plenty of free parking in our lower parking lot accessed via Stonington Hill Road just past the church.  Handicapped parking is right next to the upper parking lot. Look for the sign. We have wonderful neighbors that offer their driveway for those who are handicapped. There are six new vendors as well as all your old favorites.

Community Games and Ice Cream Social.  6:30 to 8 p.m.at Lynnwood Reformed Church 3714 Carman Road, Guilderland. Come and have a good time with a variety of games for all ages, including minute-to-win-it games. We will be enjoying Make-Your Own-Sundaes as well as trying some homemade flavors! Free!

Annual Strawberry Social by Altamont Community Traditions, in Orsini Park at 6 p.m.  (Rain date June 21). Fresh strawberry shortcakes made by A.C.T. along with games and other entertainment for kids. A super-fun way to start the summer season.

Upper Union Street Strawberry and Art Festival.  10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Day-long street festival including fresh strawberries and strawberries served many ways, music, food, fashion show, children’s activities, home furnishings flea market, free face painting, drum circle, pony rides, baby farm animals, retail promotions, gourmet marketplace and farmers’ market.
