Trunk or treat: New Scotland Presbyterian Church, 2010 New Scotland Road in Slingerlands will host their very first “Trunk or Treat” event 3 to 4:30 p.m. All children are welcome for trick-or-treating, to come to cars in the parking lot where they will find car trunks decorated just like porches of the community.

Introduction To Exploring Off Trail. Offered by Friends Of Cherry Plain State Park. Learn how to explore and enjoy the Capital District Wildlife Management Area by hiking off trail at 10 a.m. Bring a compass if you have one, along with a snack and water bottle. Renewable Energy and Sustainability Fair at The Doane Stuart School, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., to present workshops and exhibits on climate action, recycling, and sustainable lifestyles. The Fair’s keynote speaker will be Judith Enck, former EPA Regional Administrator in the Obama administration. Admission and parking are free.
