Needle Felted Journal Cover

On Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. come join us for the Needle Felted Journal Cover Workshop. Participants will construct a journal cover using wool felt on which a design will be needle felted, then hand sewn together into a reusable cover for a spiral journal / notebook. (Spiral notebook/journal included). A great gift idea for the holidays. Registration is required. A $10 material fee is paid to the instructor on the day of the program.

Lunch & A Movie 

On Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. come to the library for a showing of "The Art Of Racing In The Rain" rated PG. Through his bond with his owner, aspiring Formula One race car driver Denny, golden retriever Enzo learns that the techniques needed on the racetrack can also be used to successfully navigate the journey of life. Just like our popular dinner and a movie, the library will supply pizza and drinks and you bring a dessert or a snack to share. Registration is required and space is limited.

On Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. we will be discussing  "Small Great Things" by Jodi Picoult. Ruth Jefferson is a labor and delivery nurse at a Connecticut hospital with more than twenty years’ experience. During her shift, Ruth begins a routine checkup on a newborn, only to be told a few minutes later that she’s been reassigned to another patient. The parents are white supremacists and don’t want Ruth, who is African American, to touch their child. The hospital complies with their request, but the next day, the baby goes into cardiac distress while Ruth is alone in the nursery. Does she obey orders or does she intervene?
