GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland girls’ soccer team got a win it desperately needed on Tuesday night.

GUILDERLAND — Turnovers and penalties doomed the Guilderland football team in its game Friday night against Colonie.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland boys’ soccer team is on a little roll as the season begins to wind down.

GUILDERLAND — Guilderland senior Mason Colling won the Class A golf tournament last Thursday.

Colling shot a 69 to finish two strokes under par and beat Niskayuna’s Bryan Barach by two strokes.

VOORHEESVILLE — After improving their play over the past few games, the Voorheesville girls’ soccer team took a couple of steps backward in Monday’s game against Ravena.

VOORHEESVILLE — The players of the Voorheesville football team were coming off an emotional high after last Saturday’s win over Watervliet. This Saturday, they reached an emotional low.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland football team finally got that elusive first win, and it was a total team effort.
"Each week, we do a few things better and better," said Guilderland Coach Dan Penna. "Friday we put it all together."

BERNE — The one thing that couldn’t happen to the Berne-Knox-Westerlo boys’ soccer team this season has happened.

A team chock full of young players has had its few experienced players injured.

VOORHEESVILLE — It has been a long time since the Voorheesville football team beat Watervliet and it took a clutch performance by the offense to do it.

GUILDERLAND — It was a good week for the Guilderland girls’ soccer team.

The Lady Dutch won two games and tied one. The tie is being treated as a bigger deal than the wins.
