Hired experts recommend changes for special education

GUILDERLAND — “There are good things happening but you can be better,” Edward Shafer told the Guilderland School Board last week.

NEW SCOTLAND — A man who always tried to do what was right, Robert Clarence Shedd served his country in World War II and his community for his entire life.

GUILDERLAND — The school district’s health insurance committee has recommended a few changes to save money, but it may not be enough for some board members.

The recommendations were presented at last Tuesday’s board meeting.

 

 

GUILDERLAND — Alicia Rizzo wanted to be an elementary school teacher since she was 7 years old.

As a second-grader in Colonie public schools, she recalls, “During free time, I played teaching.”

 

A Clifton Park woman was ticketed yesterday after she hit a Guilderland school bus.

Tara Cerrato, 29, was issued several traffic tickets and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital, according to a press release from the Guilderland Police Department.
