Judge Ryan Fedele said that raising rabbits can let kids who live in cities or suburbs have a chance to tend to animals.

“I realized I wanted to take care of the larger planet,” Anne Rhoads said. “Protecting the forest would support the animals as well.”

GUILDERLAND — In Tuesday’s Democratic primary, the race between Mickey Cleary and incumbent Paul Miller who represents District 32 in the Albany County Legislature is too close to call.

The Democratic primary for county posts is often more important than the general election in November.

The candidates were asked for their views on paid sick leave, stemming the opioid crisis, suburban poverty, and becoming a nanny county.
