The Rensselaerville town board appointed a new councilman and supervisor after former supervisor Steve Pfleging admitted to embezzling town funds.

Initially planned to be completed last year, the long-awaited construction on the bridge over Fox Creek in Berne was completed this month.

KNOX — After not filing annual financial reports for the last two years, the town of Knox will be audited by the state comptroller’s office.

BETHLEHEM — On Dec. 19, the Bethlehem Police released pictures from store video surveillance of a man and a woman, known to frequent Stewart’s Shops in the area, suspected of credit-card theft.
