In the last five years, 510,000 tons of solid hydraulic fracturing waste and 23,000 barrels of liquid waste were dumped in five landfills in New York State; the Albany county Legislature passed a bill to ban such dumping here.

GUILDERLAND — Blanche M. Pratt, the former owner of Candy Kraft Candies, died on Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was 96.
