“Carol M. Fike, after a long struggle with many health issues, entered into Eternal Life on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024,” her family wrote in a tribute. She was 82 years old.

GALLUPVILLE — Helen A. Funck, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was active in her Gallupville church and community.

She died peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, Dec. 22, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam. She was 99.

Robert L. “Bob” Marx, who served in the Air Force and had a career at General Electric, was a gifted athlete and talented woodworker.

He died peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, at the blessed age of 93.

Carmella Reno

WESTERLO – Carmella “Camille” Reno, who loved traveling and being with her family, died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 28, 1936 in Brooklyn, the daughter of Peter and Mary Puelo Cavalcante.

Kenneth H. Bailey

VOORHEESVILLE — Sir Kenneth Henry Bailey was a humble hero — a mechanic who fought in World War II, he was heralded in his old age for his war-time valor.

 He died peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, two months shy of his 103rd birthday, at his long-time Voorheesville home under the care of his loving family.

GUILDERLAND — Warren Hatch Clement, a chef who built his own house, died peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, with his loving daughter at his side.  He was 86.

Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Virginia “Jean” (née Hall) Clement and King Matthew Clement Sr. of Albany. 

David J. Spiak

David “Dave” Spiak, a generous man with a deep love for his family, died on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024. He was 66.

Joshua Adams

BERNE — Joshua Adams, a carpenter who spread love, laughter, and kindness, died suddenly surrounded by his loving family on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024. He was 52.

He was born on Sept. 8, 1972 in Albany.

Beryl MacMillen Anderson, a beloved music teacher, died peacefully at 100 years of age on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, in Catskill, New York at The Pines Nursing Home. 

“God gave me a wonderful journey as, first, a musician, and then as a teacher!” she said.

MIDDLEBURGH — “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald ‘Ron’ James Porter, 75, of Middleburgh, who left this world peacefully at home on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family,” his family wrote in a tribute.

Thomas O. Talbot

ALTAMONT — Thomas Oldfield Talbot, an epidemiologist, was an avid outdoorsman who met his wife, a nurse, while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon.

He died peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was 71.
