Maureen Pollard Martin Johnson, known as “Mo,” was a vivacious woman — a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend — who lived life to the fullest.

“Maureen left this world suddenly on December 21st, 2021, at age 86,” her family wrote in a tribute.

 

WESTERLO — Ralph Lloyd Filkins, an inveterate volunteer fireman and an early Thacher Park police officer, died on Saturday, Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2021, at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. He had enjoyed a visit from his family the day before. He was 82.

RENSSELAERVILLE — Dorothy Reinhart, who loved her family and was a friend to many, died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021. She was 86.

She was born on April 14, 1935 in River Vale, New Jersey.

BERNE — Deborah Douglass was a vivacious woman whose kindness extended to every living creature she met — human and animal. She died on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, with family by her side. She was 69. 

Michael Anthony Keever

Michael Anthony Keever, a Guilderland High School student who became a part-owner of TV Guide Magazine, died on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021. He was 55.
He was born in Albany on Aug. 22, he was the youngest of Ralph A. Keever and Jane-Ann D. Keever’s six children.

GALLUPVILLE — “On Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, a beautiful light went out with the passing of 42-year-old Timothy John Simmons,” his family wrote in a tribute.

“A lifelong resident of Gallupville, Tim loved spending time with his family and others he loved and those who loved him back,” the tribute said.

SCHENECTADY — Kristin Lee (née Kuehfus) Raymond — a pageant queen in her youth and an adventurous soul all her life — died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021. She was 56.

Thomas A. Cyr Sr.

GUILDERLAND — Thomas A. Cyr Sr., an outdoorsman, died on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, surrounded by family. He was 61.

Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Cyr.

“Tommy enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing,” his family wrote in a tribute. “Above all, he was a proud uncle.”

Robert James Magil

ALTAMONT — Robert James Magil of Altamont and Englewood, Florida “peacefully passed away to Heaven and Home” on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, after a brief illness, his family wrote in a tribute. He was 76.

William George Tesch

NEW SCOTLAND — William George Tesch “passed into eternal life” on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, his family wrote in a tribute, describing him as “a loving, devoted husband and father.” He was 84.

Born in Albany, New York, he was the son of the late William and Rita Hines Tesch.

Elizabeth “Betty”Ann Roney Winne — who loved exotic birds and flew to Paris to shop for clothes — died of multiple debilitating illnesses on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, in Pasadena, Florida near her beloved daughter, Debora. She was 75.
