In Memory of Albert F. Spawn 4/25/25-12/27/05

 

December 24 seems to come faster every year,

All who gather in our home that night are especially dear.

There’s a new baby’s face among our family tree,

That I wish so much you were here to see.

 

No matter how much time passes,

I still love you still.

Just know that your place in my heart,

Nobody will ever fill.

 

As you look down from Heaven above,

I wish you lots of peace and love.

    He died after a brief battle with cancer on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025, with family at his bedside. He was 82.

    KNOX — Joseph Nevin Hughes Jr., who served in the Army during the Korean War and worked in publishing, loved spending summers with his family on their farm in Knox where he settled after retiring.

    He died on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025. He was 93.
