ALTAMONT — After more than a decade without a demolition derby, the Altamont Fair is bringing the event back for this year’s fair.

RENSSELAERVILLE — The Carey Institute for Global Good’s Helderberg Brewery has partnered with Discover Albany to offer an agritourism series called “Hilltowns Alive,” with several events slated through Columbus Day.

ALBANY COUNTY — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Albany County is presenting a free, four-part Healthy Families Series for parents or caregivers to attend with their youth.

Dinner will be provided each night. Bus passes are available for transportation assistance.

RENSSELAERVILLE — The Rensselaerville Presbyterian Church continues its summer tradition of having clergy of different faiths deliver sermons on a common theme. The 2019 theme is “Finding Joy.”

Members of the Albany Amateur Radio Association will be participating in the national Amateur Radio Field Day exercise, starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, and ending at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 23. This takes place at the Hailes Cave Pavilion in Thacher Park.

The Friends of the Slingerland Family Burial Vault will present “A Visit with Slingerlands’ Founding Family” on Friday evening, June 28.  Participants will enjoy an evening walking tour of historic Slingerlands and experience first-person presentations by costumed performers at locations along the tour route.
