KNOX — Although Democrats outnumber Republicans in Knox by nearly 2 to 1, the Republican-nominated candidates took all of the seats up for election.

The town of Guilderland and the chamber of commerce are partnering to honor local veterans with banners that will fly in 2018 at Tawasentha Park and at the Guilderland Public Library. `

A Knox man was arrested after it was discovered he had a room full of weapons and explosives. After a call had been made concerning his suicidal declarations, police searched for him and found him at an East Greenbush motel.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland School Board is moving to quickly find a replacement for Christopher McManus, who resigned on Oct.

Guilderland will soon get a second Cumberland Farms, at the corner of routes 20 and 146. The town has a Cumby at the corner of Western Avenue and Witte Road.

A school bus was hit from behind early Friday morning. The sole student aboard was unhurt.

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo capital project was approved by a wide margin. The $20 million project will fund infrastructure, security, design, and technology improvements for the district’s two buildings, primarily for the elementary school.

Last Friday, a jury found that 21-year-old Hector Gomez of New York was guilty of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

GUILDERLAND — Attorney Judith Kahn has served on the board of trustees of the Guilderland Public Library since 2012, when she was appointed to fill an open post.
