RENSSELAERVILLE — They don’t call them the Hilltowns for nothing. Bike riders in this year’s Rensselaerville Ride on Saturday, Sept. 16, sponsored by the Carey Institute for Global Good, will be reminded of that fact no matter which of the four rides they choose.
David Patrick, the Nature Conservancy director of Conservation in New Hampshire, will talk about wetland ecosystems today, aug. 18, at 7 p.m. at the Pine Bush discovery Center.
BETHLEHEM — The Mendelssohn Club of Albany will hold auditions beginning in August for male singers interested in joining the club for its 109th season. The club has 65 male singers, is conducted by Jeffrey L. Vredenburg, a graduate of the Crane School of Music, with a master’s degree from the University at Albany.
A Medieval painter who has fascinated artist T. E. Breitenbach since his youth will come to life on stage in a play he wrote — “Hieronymous: A Musical Fantasy.”
RENSSELAERVILLE — The Huyck Preserve is celebrating its 85th anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 13, with a dinner recognizing past accomplishments and looking ahead to future progress.
BETHLEHEM — The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce will visit southern Italy and the Amalfi Coast, leaving on March 23, 2017. Community members are invited to join the tour, which includes Positano, Ravello, and the archeological site of Pompeii.
