GUILDERLAND The four-way race for three Guilderland School Board seats features incumbent Emilio Genzano, three-term member Catherine Barber who retired a year ago, and newcomers Jennifer Charron and Christine Hayes.
VOORHEESVILLE Diana Straut is making her first run for school board because, she said, she has “seen the district from several angles as a parent,” and she wants to bring her experiences as a teacher and a school consultant to the table.
NEW SCOTLAND After two years and two failed attempts, the town board is preparing to vote again on a local law limiting the size of large-scale commercial development in the area of routes 85 and 85A, following a public hearing on the issue scheduled for May.
