Students get bumped when classes are filled

BETHLEHEM — Elementary classes in several Bethlehem schools are filled to their limit, meaning incoming students may be placed in schools outside of the area where they live.

GUILDERLAND — The Pine Bush Elementary School is involved in so many projects to help people in need that the principal didn’t know which the school was receiving national recognition for.

Employees at three Guilderland stores were arrested this week for selling alcohol to minors.

BERNE — On Sept. 30, the day school taxes were due, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo School Board held a special meeting and voted to request a 21-day extension for payment because of the damage done to district homes by Tropical Storm Irene.
