Mall brawl leads to three arrests

GUILDERLAND — Seven police agencies responded when a large group of young men and women were fighting inside the ThinkGeek Store at Crossgates Mall on Friday evening, Dec. 28.

The Guilderland Police responded at 8:20 p.m. and, according to a release from the department, arrested three teens for disorderly conduct:

— Jerry C. Rhodes, an 18-year-old male, of 42 Ida Yarbrough, Albany;

— Zane Jackson, a 17-year-old female, of 20 New Hope Terrace, Albany; and

— Kywan Shearin, an 18-year-old male, of 750 Eastern Ave, Schenectady.

Rhodes was also charged with resisting arrest.

Agencies assisting the Guilderland Police were the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, the Colonie Police Department, the Albany Police Department, the Bethlehem Police Department, the University at Albany Police Department, and the New York State Police.

The investigation is ongoing.
