The annual dinner by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce at the Pinehaven Country Club celebrated some of the town's major developments, included prizes, and featured a motivational speaker.

Kindergartners at Altamont Elementary School used newfound reading and listening skills to take in a book about a real-life little girl who sold lemonade to raise funds to fight cancer before she died of the disease. They used math skills, counting money as they sold lemonade themselves. But they also learned something much less tangible: how to give.
