Allison Relyea, a resident of Voorheesville and a physical-education teacher at Guilderland High School, was honored last month with the Secondary Physical Education Teacher of the Year Award by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Guilderland gymnasts showed their grace and tumbling skills on the mat during Tuesday’s dual meet at Bethlehem High School. The team is young with some “rookies” and also had some key members injured to start the season. Bethlehem Eagles won, 159.10 to 155.25.

Sara O’Connor Kenney, 37, of Voorheeville, who also goes by the name Sara Neff, pleaded guilty Wednesday morning in Albany County Court before Judge Peter Lynch to driving while ability impaired by drugs and violation of probation, both felonies, for a Sept.

On Sunday, the annual Victorian Stroll was put on by the Altamont Community Traditions that put everyone in the Christmas spirit by having vendors, games, children decorations, and even a visit from Santa.

On Friday afternoon, the Guilderland Teacher's Assistants brought over their schools donation of toys and dropped them off at Georgianna Pennacchia's house for the kids where she works.

Last weekend the Guilderland Historical Society and Garden Club held their annual Greens Show at the Frederick-Mynderse House in Guilderland Center.
