The Guilderville boys swimming, made up of Guilderland and Voorheesville students, took on Shaker Blue Bison in a Jan. 21 virtual swim meet. Guilderville won 95 to 75 and improved their record to 4-1.
Tuesday morning the Guilderland Varsity Bowling team did their half of their virtual match against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at Town n' Country lanes in Guilderland. The Dutch lost 4 to 1 and 3451 to 3279 in total pins.
GUILDERLAND — The school district here, which started surveillance testing for COVID-19 on Jan. 15, announced today that a student at Pine Bush Elementary School had tested positive.
“We’re trying to serve all of our children … [in] mind and body and spirit during this very difficult school year,” said Guilderland Superintendent Marie Wiles.
On the revenue side, Guilderland has calculated state aid for next year’s budget, ranging from $20 million to nearly $25 million. Under the state-set tax-levy limit, the most Guilderland can raise in property taxes is about $76,000,000.
ALTAMONT — James “Jim” Alexander Snider Jr., a loving husband and father of two children, died on the evening of Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, in Albany after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was 84.
On Sunday, the Guilderland Gymnastics team traveled to World Class Gymnastics in Latham to take on the Bethlehem Eagles, who were coming out of quarantine, for a dual meet. Guilderland's original opponent Shaker just went into quarantine due to COVID. Guilderland won 162.975 to 156.15.
