On Thursday, May 12, the Guilderland Unified basketball team hosted Schenectady. The teams went back and forth till the fourth quarter, when the Dutch pulled away to win, 36 to 29.
The winning slate was made up of three current school board members — Kelly Person, Gloria Towle-Hilt, and Kimberly Blasiak along with teacher Katie DiPierro. They supported work done by the district’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and also supported teachers being trained to be respectful of LGBT kids.
ALTAMONT — Reginald D. Flansburg of Altamont, a mason who built his own stone house, died on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at St. Peter’s Hospital. He was 80.
He was born in Albany on Jan. 26, 1942 to the late Donald and Emily (née Pospitical) Flansburg.
