GUILDERLAND — The last day before spring break, April 18, was the culmination of almost a year’s work for Guilderland High School’s International Club, when it held its cultural fair.

Students staffed booths from countries around the world, serving food, and relating interesting facts.

Stewart’s Shops continues to move forward in its attempt to build a new store at 1001 Altamont Blvd. Last week, the company presented to the Altamont Zoning Board of Appeals its proposal for five area variances; the board in turn set a public hearing for May 14.

GUILDERLAND — On April 20, Guilderhaven will be at the town’s shredding and hazardous waste day. We also use this time to collect donations of pet food, toys, blankets, sheets, and gift certificates, such as Tractor Supply, and PetSmart.

On Tuesday morning at the Appel Inn in Guilderland. The YMCA held a breakfast to honor the students of five school districts on their volunteerism along with a few educators as well.
