On Jan. 2, the Voorheesville Blackbirds indoor track team, coming off quarantine, showed their talents at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy in the Tri County Indoor Track League 5D meet. The girls team finished ninth with 14.50 points while the boys finished 12th with eight points.

Altamont Seniors will be meeting for lunch at the St. Lucy/St. Bernadette Parish Center on Grand Street on Jan. 11 and Jan. 25.  There will be no lunch on Jan.

Bud Kenyon

Legendary high school football coach, Bud Kenyon, died peacefully with his family present on Christmas morning, 2021, at his home in Greenwich, New York. He was 93.

Coach Kenyon found football as a 17-year-old Marine stationed in China — and he never let go.

GUILDERLAND — Kentish Bennett, 41, died just before Christmas.

Jason Seminary, 43, was arrested on Dec. 26 for second-degree manslaughter.

On Tuesday, Dec. 28, the Guilderland Dutchmen boys basketball team participated in the first day of the Colonie Pep Sand Holiday Classic as they took on Mekeel Christian Academy at Colonie High School.

GUILDERLAND — Jason Seminary, 43, has been arrested for second-degree manslaughter, a felony, in the death of Kentish Bennett, 41, according to a release from the Guilderland Police who made the arrest on Dec. 26.

GUILDERLAND — Guilderland Police are looking for a “person of interest” — Jason Seminary, age 43 — in a suspicious death investigation.
