The Guilderland Public Library Board of Trustees this year decided not to seek a reduction in seats but did vote to limit the length of a term from five years to three years in hopes of attracting more candidates in the future.

GUILDERLAND — Community Caregivers is holding its 18th annual golf tournament on Monday, June 6, at Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland.

Beginning at 11 a.m., the tournament will include a day of golf plus prizes, including Accurate Drive and Closest to the Pin.

The Guilderland Planning Board this week heard about Sharon Fellowship Church’s proposal to purchase and renovate parts of the 40-acre Dutch Manor Stable property at 2331 Western Ave.

Reginald “Reg” Empie of Sedona, Arizona, a kind and dependable father who had a 30-year career at IBM, died peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was 85.
He was born in November 1936 in Albany to Luther and Violet Empie. He grew up in Guilderland Center with his younger brothers, Bryant and Denny.
