Guilderland lacrosse beat Shen at UAlbany Thursday afternoon, 17 to 7, heading to the regional finals on Saturday where the Dutch lost to Suffern, 17 to 6.

Guilderland took on Saratoga last Saturday in a semifinal.

The Suburban Council Championships for track and field were held this week — the boys competed at Colonie on Tuesday, and the girls competed at Shenendehowa on Wednesday. 

Soaring with three sectional champions on Tuesday afternoon at the Western Athletic Conference track-and-field championships at Fort Plain were athletes from Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Dutch tennis won its third straight title last week, and fourth in five years.
