RENSSELAERVILLE — The town of Rensselaerville will hold its third annual town-wide picnic on Sunday, June 7, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on the grounds of the town hall to celebrate the unity of its five hamlets: Cooksburg, Medusa, Preston Hollow, Potter Hollow and Rensselaerville.

RENSSELAERVILLE — The Preservation League of New York State has given the Daniel Conkling House in Rensselaerville an award for Excellence in Historic Preservation.

The league's statewide awards program honors notable achievements in retaining, promoting, and reusing New York State's irreplaceable architectural heritage.

RENSSELAERVILLE — The town board discussed drafting a possible noise ordinance in an April 28 meeting that 10 residents attended.

The proposal was prompted by complaints Valerie Lounsbury said she has heard during her three years as supervisor.
