BETHLEHEM — Realtor David Robinson has joined the Weichert, Realtors - Fontaine & Associates Delmar office.

Robinson grew up in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and now lives in Albany.

VOORHEESVILLE — The Albany County Rural Housing Alliance Inc. has over $230,000 in grant funds from the New York State Homes and Community Renewal program to assist first-time home buyers with mortgage down payment and closing costs.

While Knox last month decided not to invest in an appraisal of its Altamont reservoir property, the village board on Tuesday committed to spending $11,000 for an appraisal to prove in court that the property should not be valued, or taxed, as a reservoir since it is no longer used for that purpose.

With Voorheesville Area Ambulance Service seeking to merge with Delmar-Bethlehem EMS or face dissolution, a question still remains on what will happen to its former headquarters.

Gucciardo Real Estate

GUILDERLAND — Anthony Gucciardo of Gucciardo Real Estate opened a satellite office in Guilderland on Nov. 1.

Located at 1809 Western Ave., the office will be run by Gucciardo, who is owner and broker, and Kellie Kieley, associate broker.

About 30 Guilderland residents turned out for an Albany Common Council hearing Monday night on Sandidge Way Apartments, a project that would tear down 11 homes at the town’s northeastern edge and put up 173 “workforce-oriented” rental units in their place.

As the town works to define “abandoned” in its law, three properties ravaged by fire remain vacant — a mansion reduced to rubble, a motel that still stands, and the shell of a home.

VOORHEESVILLE — The Albany County Rural Housing Alliance Inc. has been awarded $360,000 in grant funds to help first-time homebuyers with mortgage down payment and closing costs.

GUILDERLAND — As the Mill Hollow project languishes, the developer has asked the town board to lift restrictions that led to its approval in 2006.

GUILDERLAND — Kathy Burbank, formerly president of the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce and director of Community Caregivers, is joining CM Fox Real Estate.

The independent real estate company, owned by Troy Miller, who was raised in Guilderland, is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
