Bonnie Donati, a Republican making her fourth run for town justice, was victorious. “I’ve had a judge’s robe in my basement for 22 years,” she told The Enterprise on Election Night. “I get to wear it now.”

Laurel Bohl, an attorney, unseated incumbent Lee Carman, who had been the lone Republican on the board. 

In District 30, which covers Westmere, Democrat Dustin Reidy handily beat Peter Golden, an unaffiliated voter who ran on the Republican and Conservative lines.

NEW SCOTLAND — The victory was tighter than in years’ past, but Democrats William Hennessy and Bridgit Burke maintained the party’s decades-long unbeaten streak in town-board elections on Tuesday. 

GUILDERLAND — Long-time Guilderland justice, John W. Bailey, running on the  Democratic, Conservative, Independence, and Working Families party lines, is being challenged by Stephen R. Chesley, running on the Republican and Green party lines.

GUILDERLAND — Guilderland’s Democratic supervisor, Peter Barber, is unchallenged in this year’s election.

Republican incumbent Lee Carman is the only Republican running for the board. Democratic Councilwoman Rosemary Centi, like Carman, is running to keep her seat. 

The proposed highway department budget for next year proposes $2,000 less in overtime than this year, because of retirements, Wier said. 

Councilman Joel Willsey

Berne Deputy Supervisor Dennis Palow filed a complaint of discrimination against Councilmember Joel Willsey.

In the months he has left in office, Miller still hopes to see the county legislature pass his bill that would ban the sale of flavored tobacco and vape products in Albany County. 

The subcommittee has given its recommendation to the chairman, but the executive committee doesn’t have to follow it.
