Born at home in Glendale, New York on May 24, 1929, Anna Marie (née Wiegmann) Seiz “passed into Eternal Life on April 4, Easter Sunday, 2021,” her family said. She was 91.

Frank D. Coon was known for his strong work ethic and equally strong love of his family.

“He was an excellent husband. Everybody wanted him,” said Verlane Coon, his wife of 63 years. “He was a worker. He didn’t have hobbies. He didn’t go fishing. He worked.”

Mr. Coon died on Thursday, March 3, 2022. He was 80.

VOORHEESVILLE — Jim Duncan was of a different time, his daughters said, where community was everything, and you knew and cared for your neighbors.

WESTERLO — Ruth Lucille Bates, a hard-working animal lover who challenged expectations, died on Thursday, March 10, 2022. She was 89. 

GUILDERLAND — Lou Domanico “was known for his outgoing personality and quirky sense of humor,” his family wrote in a tribute. 

Mr. Domanico was a “great guy,” his cousin, John Domanico, said; he was “always happy and friendly; that was one of his trademarks.”

Mr. Domanico died on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022. He was 77.

ALTAMONT — Richard Thomas Berschwinger, a master tile setter who was devoted to his family, died peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022. He was 88.

“He was a kind and generous man and will be remembered as such by all who loved him,” his family wrote in a tribute.

 

GUILDERLAND — Bernice Shultes Bunzey, formerly of Berne, died peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at the Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland. She was 98.

WESTERLO — Everett J. “Jim” Crawford died on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, holding the hands of his children. He was 64.

Born in Lansing, Michigan, he was the son of the late Gene and Mark Crawford.

VOORHEESVILLE — Virginia (née Rauch) Rapant died at home on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, after struggling three years with ovarian cancer and its side effects. She was 70.

KNOX — August “Jeff” Landauer, Knox’s longtime highway superintendent, knew how to maintain roads and maintain relationships — with care and constancy. He didn’t hold grudges but took a wider view — like the one he’d get flying his airplane over the Hilltowns he loved.
