GALLUPVILLE — Helen Pelepzuck devoted herself to raising her family at home and worked as a recess aide at Schoharie Central School District.

Mrs. Pelepzuck died on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014 at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown following a heart attack. She was 82.

MEDUSA — Described by his family as a loving father and adoring grandfather, Arthur C. Pizzigati was an Army veteran who worked as a craftsman and salesman. He died unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014.

GUILDERLAND — Salvatore R. Dinovo, better known as Bob, a United States Navy veteran and long-time member of the Westmere Fire Department, died on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. He was 78.

Mr. Dinovo was born in Albany, the son of the late August and Rose Sgarlata Dinovo. He lived in Guilderland all of his life.

KNOX — When it came to parenting, Elizabeth Shedina stood by her convictions, but the flowers in her vase changed with the seasons.

Elizabeth J. (née Kolb) Shedina died at her home on Thursday, July 24, 2014. She was 91.

ALTAMONT — Cecile A. Meyers, a woman who always kept busy, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Lecanto, Florida. She was 76.

VOORHEESVILLE — Hardworking and strong, Marie R. Russell was also creative. She worked for a quarter of a century as a laboratory technician in bacteriology for the state’s Department of Health and was also highly skilled at a wide variety of crafts.

She died on Saturday, July 19, 2014. She was 91.

CLINTON — Robert Keith Harvey, a dairy farmer who oversaw the transportation of local schoolchildren at Berne-Knox, died on Tuesday, July 8, 2014.

Mr. Harvey of Clinton, North Carolina, died at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in North Carolina. He was 83.

KNOX — Like her favorite president, Harry Truman, Donna Lynn Mosley Simpson came from a hard-working background and overcame tough odds.

EAST BERNE — Margaret E. Gilbert was a Gold Star Mother — her only son had died in Vietnam — who dressed all in white with dignity, gracing many local Memorial Day ceremonies over the years.

ALTAMONT — Dorothy D. Barker, a strong-willed woman who loved her family, died on Monday, July 14, 2014. She was 98.

Mrs. Barker was born on Nov. 15, 1915, in Amsterdam, to the late Fred and Bessie (née Cline) Dopp.
