Pvt. Dominic Woodmansee from Westerlo with the New York Army National Guard completed the Army’s basic combat training and advanced individual training, culminating with a ceremony held Sept. 11, at the Queensbury Readiness Center to mark the start of training with his new unit, the 142nd Transportation Company.

BERNE — Jacquelyn O’Keefe, a member of the New York Army National Guard since 1983, has been promoted to Chief Warrant Officer 5, the highest rank in the Army's warrant officer corps.

O'Keefe lives in Berne with her husband, Brian O’Keefe, an Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel, and with their daughter, Brooke.

The New York Army National Guard has announced these soldier promotions:

Amir Graham from Schenectady, serving with the Company C, 2-108th Infantry, is promoted to the rank of Private; and
