On Saturday, Jan. 7, the Guilderland wrestling team took part in the Jamie Mormile Invitational at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk. Out of the twelve, five of them finished in the top five with three winning championships.
The annual tournament, hosted by the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk wrestling team, is named for an RCS wrestling booster who was 29 when he died of cystic fibrosis in 2010.
The Guilderland Dutchmen wrestlers traveled to Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School Saturday to compete in the Jamie Mormile Tournament in Ravena. The Dutch wrestled against 14 other schools and finished in second place with 141 points, only 19.50 points behind winner Watervliet-Heatly.
