An Albany woman was charged Friday with endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree assault for an incident at Crossgates Mall.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland Police Department has been instructing Citizen Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training over the past year and will continue to offer these classes in 2017.

GUILDERLAND — An 8-year-old boy waiting for a school bus on Presidential Way off Route 155 was approached on Wednesday by a stranger in a car, who stopped to ask if the child wanted a ride to school, according to releases issued by both the Guilderland Police and the Guilderland school district.

The case of the other charged student, who is 15, is being pursued in Family Court.

Far fewer police were called to the scene one week ago when an email bomb threat came in to an administrator’s email from a student’s school account. 

 

 

A Guilderland administrator was emailed Monday evening warning that a bomb would go off at the high school the next day.

Smash-and-grab thieves have been targeting valuable items left in locked cars in the parking lots of YMCAs from Delmar to Glens Falls, police say.

On August 2nd at Tawasentha Park, the Guilderland Police Department held a National Night Out that sponsored games, local first responders and food.
