Guilderland girls tennis

On Saturday morning at Tri-City Fitness and Tennis Center, Guilderland's top two tennis singles players competed against the States best players at the NYSPHSAA competition in Latham.

The Dutch girls’ tennis and field hockey players used their rackets and sticks to get past their opponents last week. The tennis team opened up sectional play on Tuesday afternoon at home as the number-one seed in Class AA and smashed Ballston Spa, 8 to 1.

Getting off on the right foot is key for the girls on Guilderland’s tennis and volleyball teams as they strive to get good seeds for sectional play in the coming weeks of the fall season. On Friday, both teams were in action.

It’s the end of the regular season for Guilderland field hockey and the start of individual sectional play for the girls’ tennis team. The Dutch field hockey team traveled to Shaker last Friday to play the Blue Bison and won, 2 to 1.

The Guilderland varsity girls’ tennis team got off on the right foot Wednesday morning at the Central Park tennis courts in Schenectady as the Dutch beat Niskayuna, 6 to 3.

The Guilderland Girls Varsity tennis team is off to a powerful start to the season by winning the Oneida Invitational and two suburban council wins.

Guilderland's girls soccer and girls tennis teams battled against Suburban Council teams this past week on Sept 27 and Sept 23rd respectively.
