As Voorheesville sets out to draft a blueprint for development, it would be wise to follow advice from the architect of Altamont’s master plan: Be open and inclusive.

KNOX— The yet-to-be-named rebuilt building in the Knox hamlet is nearing completion.

Owner and town supervisor Vasilios Lefkaditis has a list of possible tenants for his 3,000-square-foot building, which is  being divided into three 1,000-square-foot commercial spaces.

Residents of the Heldervale water district in Slingerlands asked town officials to re-examine their water rates, and to exercise care with older asbestos pipes if the Creekside housing development receives final approval. 

GUILDERLAND — Developer Christopher Meyer has been appearing before the town board and the planning board for nearly 10 years seeking a zoning change for his subdivision along the Black Creek.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland Town Board and the Altamont Village Board of Trustees each approved resolutions, with all affirming votes on Tuesday, to annex 52 acres of land from Guilderland to the village.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland Town Board and the Altamont Village Board of Trustees held a joint public hearing on Tuesday night to discuss annexing more than 50 acres of land from Guilderland to the village.

The contractor agreed to some additions and stipulations, aimed at addressing concerns that development at the rural site might alter water drainage and negatively impact neighbors.
