A new barber shop in Stonewell Plaza provides hot-towel shaves, beard trims, and edge-ups to local patrons.

CLARKSVILLE — Chef Daniel Smith, owner of Jake Moon Restaurant & Café, announced this week that the eatery will celebrate its sixth year by adding alcoholic beverages to the menu.

Smith recently bought the building that houses the restaurant, at 2082 Delaware Turnpike.

“Mammography saves lives and women should be proactive about seeking screening,” said Dr. Raymond in the release.

A café, a prosthetics maker, and an insurance agency have all opened in the village.

GUILDERLAND — During the month of October, The UPS Store, at 1971 Western Ave. in Guilderland, is celebrating its 25-year silver anniversary.  To honor the occasion and demonstrate its continued commitment to the community, the store is hosting a month-long celebration.

GUILDERLAND — Michael Cahill hopes to generate drive-in traffic in the auto repair shop he recently opened in his hometown.

A McKownville resident for more than 30 years, he opened Cahill’s Auto Garage, at 1436 Western Ave., 10 days ago.
