Last Thursday, Jan. 2, the Voorheesville boys’ volleyball team returned to the court after winter break, traveling to Greenville High School to play the Spartans. The Birds didn’t give Greenville much as they easily swept in straight sets: 25-16, 25-14, 25-18.

On Sunday, Dec. 15, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo and Voorheesville track teams competed in the indoor league meet 2A held at Union College.

On Friday, Dec. 13, the Voorheesville girls’ basketball team hosted a Colonial Council foe in Catholic Central, the defending state champs, at home. The quick and lengthy Crusader team kept the Blackbirds from hanging around as the Blackbirds fell 63-to-26.
