On Friday, May 30, the Voorheesville boys’ lacrosse team and the Stillwater-Mechanicville faced off at Stillwater High School in the Section 2, Class D semifinal matchup.
Last Wednesday, May 28, the Voorheesville girls’ lacrosse team looked to win their second straight Section 2, Class D championship as they took on Albany Academy at Shenendehowa High School.
On Tuesday, May 27, the Voorheesville track squad competed in the Section 2, Group 4 track sectionals at Stillwater High School. The girls finished third with 72 points and the boys came in 12th with 14 points.
Last Wednesday, May 21, the Voorheesville girls’ lacrosse team, the top seed in Class D, opened up their title defense against the fourth-seed Hoosick Falls-Tamarac at home in the semifinals of the Section 2, Class D sectionals.
On Tuesday, May 6, the Voorheesville girls’ lacrosse team hosted Ichabod Crane. From the opening faceoff, the Blackbirds dug their talons in deep and soared easily over the Riders enroute to their 23-to-0 win.
