To the Editor:

The date is fast approaching for our 14th Annual Voorheesville and Community School Foundation’s Pre-Fall Classic 5K and 2 Mile Walk to be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 9 a.m., starting and finishing at the Voorheesville high school track.

The race is the second leg of the Hilltown Triple Crown; however, area runners can sign up for all three races or just participate in our race. Registration is easy online at www.vcsfoundation.com. Walk-in registrations are also welcome the morning of the race, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Bring the kids! We will have a Bouncy Bounce, DJ music, a one-mile Kids’ Race, and great drawing items and prizes like an iPod Shuffle,  iTunes gift cards, passes to Flight Trampoline, and more.

We will also have wonderful drawn prizes for all, including Fastrax Raceway passes, gym memberships, movie tickets, and more.

Massages, give-aways, food, exercise, and fun — what a fantastic way to spend a summer Saturday morning! We look forward to seeing you on Aug. 16.
