To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all of those who braved the weather on Saturday and came to the reception at the Berne Town Hall to wish me well on my upcoming retirement from my position of Berne town clerk.

I would also like to thank those who planned the event and provided the many delicious refreshments.

It was very lovely and, as I have said so many times, it has been an honor and a pleasure to have served in this capacity for the past 34 years.
