Roadways in Berne must be well-maintained

To the Editor:

In campaigning door-to-door throughout Berne and East Berne, I met many awesome people who share a concern of having well-maintained roads. Well-kept roads are more than just being able to get out of bed and driving to work each day.

Our roads are the very essence of our surroundings and how we perceive our town. I am thankful for the people in our community who have chosen me to be the steward of our town’s roads by electing me as Berne highway superintendent.

There should be no question that the roadways in Berne must be well maintained and should be our town’s highest priority. As Berne’s highway superintendent, I will be Berne’s number one full-time advocate for making sure Berne has a solid local highway department to properly oversee and maintain our roads.

My thankful appreciation goes out to each person who assisted me in this campaign and to each who gave me his or her vote of confidence. For those who may vote for me in the future, I hope I will garner your support with the excellent job I intend on performing during my term in office as the Berne highway superintendent.
